The Svalbard islands are situated in the Arctic Ocean, half way between Norway and the North Pole. The word “Svalbard”, which means “cold coasts” have always fascinated travellers for the unique fauna, arctic nature, wild and untouched open spaces found there and which we will discover by riding snowmobiles and wearing skis. Anyone travelling to the Svalbard Islands is looking for an experience which puts you in contact with nature and very little compromises: the colours of the arctic sky, the mountains, the glaciers and the sea merge together leaving you speechless. Our adventures starts at Longyearbien riding snowmobiles towards the brand new house just built in the area of Nordenskjøldland equipped with heating, a kitchen and beds but without running water which is collected by melting snow. A few itineraries leave directly from our back up point and others require some short sections by snowmobile, the participants will have to drive their own snowmobile (not difficult and not over long sections). If we will be lucky we will have the possibility of admiring the polar bears also known as the king of the arctic as well as spectacular northern lights (aurora borealis). A trip to the end of the world on the northern most point of the planet.
