The Svalbard islands are situated in the Arctic Ocean, half way between Norway and the north Pole. The word “Svalbard” means “cold coasts” , and has always fascinated travellers for its unique fauna, arctic nature, open and wild spaces which we will discover by riding snowmobiles and wearing skis. Anyone travelling to the Svalbard Islands is looking for an experience which puts you in contact with nature and very little compromises: the colours of the arctic sky, the mountains, the glaciers and the sea merge together leaving you speechless. Our adventure  starts at Longerbien riding snowmobiles for 180km towards Gallerbreen glacier, right in the area of Atomfjella.

The Atmofjella group is a mountain massif characterised by hundreds of steep slopes and fantastic peaks, most of which are known only on the map and have never been climbed. The height of these mountains ranges from 1400m to 1700m and the vertical height gain is of approximately 1200m.

The first and last day will be used for snowmobile transfer, which is a journey of approx..360km round trip. The successive days will be spent climbing various peaks and discovering this spectacular mountain labyrinth. Every night we will sleep in the heated tents at Base Camp, starting point for all of our daily trips. Being fit, being good skiers and adapting easily to new situations are all traits that are required.
