Spectacular, exposed but technically easy.
The ferrata Gerardo Sega, situated on the western part of Monte Baldo massif, offers not only a great views, but also many nice climbing passages, which don’t require special climbing skills. Nevertheless the via ferrata leads through a huge, overhanging wall it is technically rather easy but in parts very exposed. It also leads on a wide and unprotected ledge through a very imposing rock face.
Attention: The ascent and descent are rather long, but lead through a very charming and varied landscape; on a plateau, through an idyllic gorge and near the impressive Preafessa waterfall.

Prerequisites:
No fear of heights
Request good physical condition and ability to walk for 7/8 hours - (about 500m altitude)
Suitable for children of 10 years who like to walk
Services and materials included:
UIAGM mountain guide, helmet, harness, ferrata set, gloves, courtesy transfer and RC insurance
What to bring:
trekking shoes or boots, backpack with water (2 lt./person), snacks, sunglasses, sunscreen, hat and rain jacket, face mask (covid-emergency)

VIA FERRATA - COVID-19 management
- All clients must fill in the Covid 19 questionnaire (an email with link will be sent to you when you register) the day before or on the same day of the activity.
- All participants will have their body temperature measured, if this will be over 37,5° the client will not be allowed to take part in the activity.
- All participants should carry with them a face mask to be used when it is not possible to guarantee the maximum distance of 2 m (for eg. When being transported to the activity, during briefing and debriefing…).
- If the transport service offered is used, any backpacks, bags, towels, costumes etc will be placed in the special, single use bag which will be handed to you by the guide when you set off.
- Disinfectant gel is available for you, and it is obligatory to use it: when you get on the van, before getting dressed, at the end of the activity and every time we consider it necessary.
- During the itinerary try to keep the safety distance, avoid overtaking other people, or help this action out when there are wider sections along the path and by wearing your mask.
- All the technical gear that the school will supply (harness, helmet, ferrata set) is hygienically cleaned and sanified after every single use.
Any client booking the tour must:
- Fill in the Covid19 questionnaire before starting
- Have a mask to wear when it is not possible to respect the established distance.
- Respect the hygiene standards washing your hands often.
- Keep safety distance where possible.
- Respect the Mountain Guide’s recommendations.
