Once you walk across the centre of Arco, from the Collegiate Church walk up the characteristic steps which lead to the castle. Arco’s olive groves, situated on the slopes of the castle’s ruins, accompany us with its secular history. We take a glimpse of the towers of the castle of Arco and a few sections of the city wall, to then detour towards the Church of S.Maria di Laghel. From here, the path (n.431) runs into the holly oak woods and leads us with stone steps to Monte Colodri (340m). Once you reach the top, we are exactly above the historic climbing routes of Arco, where everything began in the exciting 80’s. Together we will find out about some of the most important climbers through their climbing routes, which are named after them. The view spaces all around, including Lake Garda, the mountain chain of Mount Baldo and the Marocche of Dro.
After a small break, we continue in a northerly direction along the ridge which leads to Monte Colt (415m). Leaning slabs, karst rocks, grassy sections, natural steps, scree and short exposed sections. A mix of perfect terrain to learn how to feel at total ease in any situation! There are various and pleasant paths to choose from and which lead us back to the centre of Arco and our starting point!
