Beginners intro Arco rock climbing
A friendly atmosphere our certified mountain guides will introduce you step by step to climbing the vertical world and teach you knots, basic climbing and safety techniques. The basic climbing course is ideal for complete beginners with an aspiration to start rock climbing, as well as for indoor climbers looking to make the transition to climbing outdoors and develop their outdoor climbing skills.
By the end of the course you should feel competent to climb in a controlled and informed manner, which will allow you to climb easy bolted routes in climbing areas. You will have the knowledge and skills to develop your climbing at your own speed and enjoy that feeling.
The pleasant Mediterranean atmosphere of Arco and the nearby Lake Garda make it easy to start climbing.

Note:
It does sometimes happen that the pre-dated course numbers are low. In this case we will give you the option of booking and paying the same course fee as quoted BUT for a reduced number of days. The advantage is, while the costs remain the same, you will get a more in depth level of instruction in a shorter time. Or if you wish you can take the chance and pay Private Guiding in order to arrive at the original number of days. IN case others would join the course we would charge the going rate for the course.

Have you already gained your first climbing experience or perhaps taken part in one of Arco climbing Fun Climb offer? You liked it so much that you want to do it again? Then the basic climbing course is just right for you.
In three half days of four hours each, our mountain guides will show you the basic skills for belaying each other and climbing top-rope. Also ideal for parents who want to secure their children while climbing. The basis for safe movement in the vertical!
Our climbing basic course on Lake Garda offers you our expert knowledge and the many years of experience of our mountain guides, who will teach you the necessary sensitivity and safety on your first steps. Various aspects will be covered, from the basic climbing technique to the important safety aspects.
COVID-19 management
- All clients must fill in the Covid 19 questionnaire (an email with link will be sent to you when you register) the day before or on the same day of the activity.
- All participants will have their body temperature measured, if this will be over 37,5° the client will not be allowed to take part in the activity.
- All participants should carry with them a face mask to be used when it is not possible to guarantee the maximum distance of 2 m (for eg. When being transported to the activity, during briefing and debriefing…)
- If the transport service offered is used, any backpacks, bags, towels, costumes etc will be placed in the special single use bag which will be handed to you by the guide when you set off.
- Disinfectant gel is available for you, and it is obligatory to use it: when you get on the van, before getting dressed, at the end of the activity and every time we consider it necessary.
- While you belay, use your mask if it is not possible to be distant from the next person.
- Avoid putting any climbing gear in your mouth.
- All the technical gear that the school supplies (harness, helmet, rope, quickdraws etc etc) is hygienically cleaned and sanified after every single use.
Any client booking the tour must:
- Fill in the Covid19 questionnaire before starting
- Have a mask to wear when it is not possible to respect the established distance.
- Respect the hygiene standards washing your hands often.
- Keep safety distance where possible.
- Respect the Mountain Guide’s recommendations.
