Ice climbing camp in Rjukan
Discovery the Norwegian Ice Climber’s Mecca.
You're keen on ice? Then your ice climbing dreams will become true on this trip. Around the idyllic village Rjukan in the west of Oslo, the long Norwegian winter guarantees strong ice till springtime. The mecca for winter climbing welcomes you with countless waterfalls offer first-class ice climbing opportunities for all levels: you will find short Sport Climbing possibilities as well as multi-pitch and mixed routes. And the best: The icefalls are usually easily accessible.
If one day you don’t feel like ice climbing, you will find many other outdoor action around Rjukan: a ski area with night skiing, snowshoeing on Gaustatoppen with its radio station and the incredible views or the swimming pool Rjukanbadet with sauna.
We stay in cozy apartments and cook our own food.

Requirements
- Advanced ice climbers who are able to climb W13 and W14.
- Ideal for those who want to improve their technique, learn to do lead climbing or who likes to share an ice climbing adventure holiday with like-minded people.
Day 1:
Arrival in Oslo and trip by car to Rjukan (about 2.5 hours). Shopping and moving in our apartments. Admission to territory and communal cooking and dinner. Introduction to the area and the program of the next days.
Day 2 to Day 7:
Every day we explore another ice climbing area and the mountain guide will give you many tips to improve your ice climbing technique. The motto is: ice climbing till the arm don’t hold you anymore. The countless icefalls provide numerous lines to fulfil all your ice climbing wishes. After a little warm up we will be ready to climb even multi-pitch or short mixed routes.
In the evening we will either cook together or have dinner in one of the restaurants.
Day 8:
Departure to the airport. If we have time left, we can visit the downtown of Oslo.
